This is the list of things to bring in your hospital bag if you are going to have a termination for medical reasons and you will be induced.
This list includes items for you, your birth companion and for accompanying your baby to death, making memories that will last forever.
The list includes items for personal hygiene and comfort during the hospital stay, because labor can be a long and tiring process. I encourage you to keep and preserve your energies when pain is not too strong, i.e. practicing mindfulness, reading, listening to music, watching a movie etc.
I encourage you to write a list of the many reasons this choice was the best for your baby and your family, in the days before the induction and to bring it to the hospital. *suggested by my sister-friend Emily
The items in the baby-list are some of the many things you my want to share with your baby in the only time you have to spend with him/her. I highly encourage you and your birth companion to think about it and bring as many items as you wish. This time is precious and nobody will be able to give it back to you, thus i highly recommend to bring some items even if you think you won't feel like seeing your baby. You might change your mind or maybe not, but at least you will be prepared for any possibility.
Ida Saoirse Scherer,
our first baby girl, who was born and died at 16+5 weeks on the 30th November 2017.
